38th Annual McDonough Benefit Golf Tournament

Our 38th Annual Benefit Golf Tournament was scheduled for Monday, September 19, 2022, at Bald Peak Colony Club in Melvin Village, NH. The Bald Peak course was designed by Donald Ross and is one of the most beautiful golf courses in the State of New Hampshire. We had anticipated a successful and profitable day for our flagship fundraising event. The 20 available foursomes sold out very quickly due to the exclusive venue, with many individuals and businesses committing to sponsorships.

Unfortunately, Mother Nature did not cooperate on the day of the tournament, and we were forced to cancel the event due to heavy rain and wind, which made the course unplayable. We are excited to announce that the tournament has been rescheduled to June 19, 2023, at Bald Peak, and we are hoping for a beautiful day this time around. Most of the 2022 teams and sponsors have already reserved their spots for the 2023 event, and we anticipate a very successful tournament.

All profits from this event are earmarked annually for the McDonough General Fund to increase the yearly scholarship awards to our scholars. The McDonough Foundation’s Board of Directors is especially grateful to the Bald Peak Colony Club for working with us to minimize the financial impact when we had to cancel this year’s event on short notice.
