Donations & Contributions
The McDonough Scholarship Foundation is a 501 (c)(3) not-for-profit organization which relies heavily on donations from clubs, individuals, and organizations to help fund our educational mission. Tax deductible donations can be made to the Foundation’s General Fund or to specific Endowed Named Scholarships. A complete list of our donation programs can be found here.
Contributions to the General Fund come from multiple sources, including club donations, individual and corporate donations, and memorial donations. The General Fund is used to pay for the majority of scholarship awards on an annual basis and is the major source of funding for the organization.
Contributions may also be made to specific Endowed Named Scholarships. Currently, there are twenty-six named scholarships. View a list and description of each here. These named scholarships are endowed funds, and a contribution will add to the principal balance of that scholarship. The earnings on these scholarships are used to fund each named scholarship award on an annual basis.
When you make your contribution, please indicate whether it is a donation to the Foundation’s General Fund or to a specific Endowed Named Scholarship. As noted below, donations can be made online or via check. To make an online donation, please use the “Donate Now” button below. If paying by check, please make the check payable to the McDonough Scholarship Foundation (on the memo line note either General Fund or a specific named scholarship). Checks should be mailed to the McDonough Scholarship Foundation, 61 North Street Manchester, NH 03104.
